Where We Started

Our company was started in 1958 by B. J. Queen. After serving our country during World War II in the Navy, B. J. returned and graduated from Colorado School of Business. He started out in 1954 working for Aetna Finance as a collection officer in Charlestown, WV and quickly moved up the ranks. He was promoted to Manager and transferred to their Parkersburg, WV office, where he met his future wife, Lavaughn. Since Aetna frowned upon co-workers dating, B. J. requested a transfer and was sent to Lexington, KY office and they married in 1955.

B. J. had big dreams and ventured out on his own to start his own business with nothing more than a card table, two chairs and a phone. B. J. passed on his knowledge to his son, B. Jeff Queen, and together, Imperial Recovery now has grown, with three locations serving most of the state of Kentucky.

We are members of the American Recovery Association, Inc., Allied Finance Adjusters, Florida Association of Licensed Recovery Agents, Inc., and California Association of Licensed Repossessors, and are bonded for $5 Million Dollars.

Imperial also is in full compliance with Vendor Transparency Solutions (VTS) standards and an Accredited Member of the BBB.
